I’ve been enjoying YouTube the last week with all the vegan’s on there cooking and blending their healthy hearts out.  YouTube is a fun way to learn new tricks.  Things like how to work a camera that has been gathering dust for 5 years or how to do a vegan diet properly so you actually lose weight.

I’ve watched vlogs on housecleaning, budgeting, bread making and so much more in the past and lately I am on their re-educated myself in nutrition and getting recipe ideas, learning to garden, take better care of my hens, and so much more that I can’t think of right now because I have a head cold and haven’t been able to breathe through my nostrils for 3 nights now.  I’m lacking oxygen to the brain.

Anyway, to shorten this up, I decided that I wanted to vlog.  Blog and vlog, why not?  So, I downloaded Windows Movie Maker, recorded a few things, and learned through a quick YouTube tutorial about how to edit and add music to my fun little video.

I now have a channel…well, I’ve had it since 2009 according to them and I had no idea.  I have a few videos on there with a tour of the house and backyard and a trip to the Coop with tips on buying organics with a small budget.

Here is my latest video and from there you can get on my channel.  It is all a bit funky right now and maybe for a long time as I figure out this new interest.  I just enjoy the writing and blogging and this is turning out to be pretty enjoyable as well.  I’ll do vlogs that connect to my blogs in information but visual as we all love visuals right?

You can be with me like never before.  Yay!

    1. I have a few up on the channel already if you want a few tours of the house and yard. Thank you so much for the voice compliment as I really have issues with it personally. Your words will help me get over that.

  1. Good job on your first video! The key is to just keep making them, and you will gain more confidence. My old channel Bible Babe, was my big learning experience. I once gave myself a challenge to make 100 videos in 100 days. It was hard, and several of the videos were just dumb, but it was the consistent effort that I was after. I created new channel earlier this year, Blessed In Bowie, but with all I have been doing I have only managed three videos so far in almost a year! Hoping to redo my channel intro and start making more videos in January. But really good job! Are bell peppers really THAT expensive where you live?

      1. One more thing–have you read Barbara Kingsolver’s Animal, Vegetable, Miracle? I think you would greatly enjoy it, and there are some really good ideas on eating not only clean, but also local.

      2. I have the book but I couldn’t get into it. I am eating completely local and organic and in the seasons now with this Briar Patch Coop. There produce is amazing. Food taste terrible out of season.

  2. I love this video… it was so much fun to spend a day with you guys. I giggled because the dog was looking at you like you were crazy. LOL I loved seeing the little kids putting money in the guitar lady’s box. Your produce haul looks yummy! I hope you will post more and more of these vlogs!

    1. Yay! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I just put one up yesterday. There are a few on my channel now so if you go on that one and then get on my channel you will see the rest and yes, I think every Friday I will do the shopping thing to show all sorts of ways to afford good food. It is a lot of fun but I do feel a little weird in the store with my camera and talking to it.
